Location
The Northwest Native Americans lived along the west coast of the United States, from Northern California to southern Alaska. The location where they lived is shown in the picture in red. The Northwest coastal region is rich in natural resources. Huge redwood and cedar trees provided natives with wood to build plank houses, carve dug-out canoes and create totem poles. They also had access to resources living along the Pacific Ocean. The Northwest tribes include Chinook, Haida and Tlingit
